AMBASSADOR-DESIGNATE OF IRELAND ANN DERWIN SHARED IRELAND'S EXPERIENCE OF SUSTAINED ECONOMIC GROWTH DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

Mr. S.Narantsogt, Vice Minister of Economy and Development, received the Ambassador-Designate of Ireland to Mongolia Ann Derwin.

The Vice Minister of Economy and Development S.Narantsogt received the newly appointed Ambassador-Designate to Mongolia Ann Derwin. Ireland is one of the few countries that has shown sustained economic growth during the global Covid-19 pandemic and is home to the Pfizer vaccine.

The Ambassador-Designate presented the experience of successfully attracting foreign investment, the strategy of developing the pharmaceutical industry in a cluster, and exchanged opinions on the possibility of cooperation in the fields of information technology and agriculture.

The Vice Minister S.Narantsogt introduced the policies implemented by the Government of Mongolia, and based on the characteristics and similarities of the agriculture, especially the pastoral sector of the two countries, it was agreed to learn from Ireland’s experience of introducing advanced techniques and technologies based on innovation, increasing the production of value-added products, introducing standards necessary for the release of agricultural products to the European market, and cooperate in the field of agriculture.
