Acting State Secretary of Ministry of Economy and Development B. Dashpurev met Mr. Tapan Mishra, the UN Resident Coordinator in Mongolia. During the meeting, the two parties discussed the Joint Work plan for the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework document for 2023-2027, which defines the strategy and framework of cooperation to be implemented by the United Nations in Mongolia in the next five years, and agreed to work closely on its implementation.

The Resolution No. 470 of 2022 of the Government of Mongolia renewed the “Regulation on developing development policy and planning documents”, which enabled the conditions to develop each development policy document using a methodology that is consistent with its characteristics.

Read moreThe National Committee for Sustainable Development (NCSD), chaired by the Prime Minister of Mongolia, convened on 11 August 2022 and endorsed the draft of Integrated national financing strategy (INFS), prepared by the Government’s working group and United Nations in Mongolia. At the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2015, member states were advised to develop an "Integrated National Financing Strategy" aimed at fully mobilizing multiple financing sources for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Mongolia is one of the 86 countries around the world that are currently developing the Integrated National Financing Strategy for increasing, aligning, and mobilizing financing resources for SDGs.
